I know what you’re thinking: You saw the words “nunchuck” and “bear” right next to each other and you were thinking, “That is an incredible pairing of words and I need to click on it.” But before I get into that I just want to get something off my chest. If you’re not interested in reading the next couple paragraphs and just want to see the bear with nunchucks then just scroll down a few more inches until you see the video.

With COVID-19 shutting down the world and me finally getting caught up on things I had the opportunity to take a look at my site and I just realized this is the first time I’ve created a post for the Internet section of my site in almost two years. When I was originally planning out my site I thought it would be a good idea to have a section dedicated to random stuff that caught my eye on the internet whether it be a new meme or funny video or maybe just some break some crazy news story I saw. I was a bit on the fence at first of having a section dedicated to stuff from the internet but after thinking about it I realized that not only would it be a way of getting some creative writing practice in, it would also be an easy way to generate some hopefully potentially rich SEO content.

Unfortunately, like I’ve said many times before I would find myself getting overwhelmed with something and I would either forget all about that cool or funny thing I saw online or just reach a point where it’s window of going or being viral has long passed. I mean this is this same reason I didn’t try to build my site as a news or media website. I don’t have the time or resources to be able to crap something out quick enough to be considered a breaking news source, and unlike the big media outlets and other people’s blogs I don’t have the connections to get exclusives on things or be the first one to hear about anything so I’ll just be rehashing something I came across somewhere else. Hopefully someday I can get some connections but right now I’m shit out of luck.

I know your probably thinking, “Why not just go ahead and rip off somebody else’s site and just crap out some quick clickbait-levels of content based on that?” And the answer is simply I don’t want to.

I’ve emphasized many times in the past that I’ve been trying to find a way to get both myself and my website to standout and one of the ways I want to do that is avoid degrading my website or devalue myself by putting up some half-assed bullshit.

Sorry for more ranting but like I said, I’m not going to do anything halfassed and that is why I’m warning you that there is some more reading for you up head.

So this video of a black bear twirling these sticks on a rope around like they were nunchucks came up randomly on my Facebook feed and at first I thought “Cool, it’s a bear that knows how to use nunchucks,” after a few minutes I started laughing a little more in my head because the video reminded me of these memes I saw of how could 2020 get worse. Between COVID-19 those the George Floyd/Black Lives Mattter protests and riots and the murder hornets 2020 has been a really crazy year.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the only nunchuck bear on the internet, I found these videos of other bears playing with nunchucks when I was looking for the original video on YouTube, I’m not sure if they’re the same bear but they do look very similar. I do want to point out that in the first two videos the bears were playing with some random toys made up of pieces of wood tied together while in the third video the bear looks like he’s playing with a three-section staff, a real martial arts weapon.

Before I close out this post I do want to remind the world of the original martial arts bear, Kung Fu Bear, an Asian black bear named Claude the bear of the Asa Zoo in Hiroshima, Japan who was known for playing with long sticks, twirling in a manner reminiscent of martial arts moves.

As an added bonus I do want to point out that the internet can do good as well as evil as some clever video editors changed Claude’s stick into a lightsaber, changing him from Kung Fu Bear into Jedi Bear.
