So here I am with part 2 of 2018 Long Beach Comic Con. I’m starting to sound like a broken record but I feel bad posting this as late as I am. I’ve said it before and that I really need to start finishing these write-ups faster so that I could capitalize on the relevancy and hopefully rack up more traffic.

The plus side of being late on this though is that I can focus on doing a better job, I mean I can surf social media to find the names and handles of people as well as do some fact checking to make sure I got my cosplays right.

Also looking at my photos I feel I should start doing more post-processing on my photos. I have a cousin who works at Adobe who hooked me up with Adobe Creative Cloud and that is expensive software which even though I got as a hook up I’m not getting my full use out of it. Other than some minor lighting correction that’s all I really use it for. This is basically me getting a freebie from a hooker and I’m just using it to take her out to dinner (I really can’t think of a better analogy than that). The downside of post processing my photos is that given the amount of photos I take it will just add to the delay. There is still my Tumblr page which I created not only as a place where I can post pictures that aren’t worthy of my site or of my Instagram but also a place where I was going to put my photo processing practice. Another thing with post-processing is that I believe a good photographer doesn’t need post processing cause they good photos straight from the camera. Although after learning more about photography and the limits of what can be done with a digital camera I feel I’m at this point where if I want to have better pictures my only options are to either learn how to shoot on film or learn how to process photos.

Anyway, back to Long Beach Comic Con. I really don’t know what to say at this point that I haven’t said in my previous post. Downside of segmenting my content like this. I can blame LBCC for this but that’s the easy route. Instead I’ll just be a responsible adult and take responsibility and blame myself for not being a more creative writer or scouring the Con better looking for more cool stuff to take pictures of.

This post went down hill pretty quick. I should stop ranting and just get to the rest of my photos.

Enjoy!

I wasn’t really that interested in the KnokX Pro wrestling matches until they started bringing out people wearing costumes.

Here’s a tag team match featuring Spider-Man and Deadpool against 2 Jedis with Scooby Doo as the referee.

Deadpool was the first one in the ring and he got the crap beaten out of him.

Here’s the 1 of the Jedi taking a break from wailing on Deadpool to work the crowd…

…before resuming wailing on Deadpool.

But in true pro wrestling fashion Deadpool managed to tag Spider-Man in.

Spidey did pretty well for himself.

He even managed to get a couple pin attempts in.

But eventually the Jedis got the upper hand and they started double-teaming him before getting him in a double suplex.

After the suplex one of the Jedis used his Jedi-mind powers on Spider-Man.

Apparently the Jedi’s power created this Spider-double. At this point I started losing interest in the wrestling match. I stayed and watched it finish but I can’t remember who won it.

Here’s Atombombbody showing off her Slave Princess Leia/Mercy mashup.

Ivy Doomkitty, probably the most famous cosplayer on the scene right now was there as black-costume Spider-Man.

Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time.

An N7 soldier from Mass Effect. Mass Effect is another game I never got into and so I’m not quite sure if he’s supposed to be a specific class or a generic soldier.

Deadpool in a X-Men trainee jersey just like in the Deadpool 2 movie.

Here’s a pretty hot Velma from Scooby Doo.

Ryu from Street Fighter.

Here’s that guy in the Snorlax costume again. Seeing him walk around I’m wondering whow good the visibility is in that thing. Although I guess that’s why he has that guy walking around with him.

A War Boy from Mad Max: Fury Road. I’m kicking myself for not doing a better job with this photo and gotten her at the right angle where the steering wheel was directly in front of that light.

Here’s a nice couple both cosplaying as the Joker. Although I’m really wondering if the girl is supposed to be Duela Dent.

A Cobra Commander from the Sunbow GI Joe cartoon from the ’80s.

This Avatar: The Last Airbender group is pretty cool. It’s Shana Mostella as Avatar Kyoshi. Renji Hayabus as Avatar Aang, and Tranmasterflash as Avatar Roku. While surfing Instagram trying to figure out who these people are I found out that there was also somebody on site dressed as Wan the first Avatar and Korra and I really wish I found them when they were all together cause that would have been a great picture.

I’m not sure who this chick is supposed to be. At first I thought she was Ana from Overwatch but the bow is throwing me off. Ana uses a sniper rifle not a bow.

This woman did a Disney’s Haunted Mansion-themed Boba Fett/Mandalorian warrior costume. Which made her pretty popular with people. My mom actually stalked this woman and waited a good couple minutes to get a turn to take a picture with her.

Here’s a picture of her jet pack which was loaded up with all kinds of elements from the Haunted Mansion.

Some dual Spider-Men action from this nice couple.

A DC Extended Universe Wonder Woman.

A Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman aka Spider-Gwen from the Marvel multiverse’s Earth-65.

One of the knights from Monty Python and the Holy Grail…? I think. I’m not 100% sure that’s what he is.

A Lara Croft from Tomb Raider… I think. Or maybe she’s just a random chick in a tank top and bicycle shorts.

I really like this guy’s Tommy Chong. To add to it he even acted like him when I asked if I could have a picture.

Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin.

He really has the stare down. I feel really bad for not noticing his Iago is tipped over. This makes me looks so amateurish.

King Dice and Cagney Carnation from the insanely popular Cuphead game.

About 4 or 5 hours later I decided to stop by the EI School of Professional Make Up to see how they were doing on their bodypainting demonstration and saw that they were still at it. Gotta give props to their models for being willing to be there that long for it.

At this point my parents wanted to leave.

While walking to the car I caught up to more of those girls who did a group cosplay as the evolutions of Eevee. I asked for a group shot but unfortunately I caught them at a bad time when they were split up for individual shots. I tried to get as many shots of them as I could but I missed out on a few.

I really regret not getting shots of all of them because it makes me look so amateurish and really damages my credibility which is something I’ve been trying so hard to build up. If I really want to build both my site and myself up I really need to fix my attitude and not do this anymore.

This took a bit of a dark turn so I need to get back on track.

Here’s their Eevee.

Sylveon.

Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon.

And here’s Umbreon.

To close out this post here’s a guy dressed up as the X-Men Bishop wearing the costume he wore in the ’90s X-Men Animated Series which in the comic book was also the uniform worn by the Xavier Security Enforcers.

Thanks for checking this out. Next Con for me is LA Comic Con which is coming up at the end of the month. Those write ups I promise I’ll have up sooner and I also promise to have some other stuff up in-between.
