So here I am still playing catchup. While I have been slacking at updating my website I have not been slacking on gathering content for it. Aside from still going to conventions, I’ve still been attending art shows and other events, I’ve still been collecting toys and other things worth featuring, and I’ve still been on the look out for old TV shows and movies that are worth revisiting—although with most streaming services removing the ability to take screenshots, it’s forcing me to rethink how I’m going to approach that part.

If going through all this stuff to generate content isn’t enough, there’s also some back-end stuff for my website I need to do, on top of things I neglected to do the first time. I won’t go into too much detail what needs to be done, other than I saying I need to do a redesign. It may sound a bit extreme to want to do a redesign but between all the things I need to plus a few things I’ve been wanting to do a redesign just seems like the best way to get as much of it done as possible.

So back to my content backlog. At this point I’m more than a year and a half behind on my convention/event stuff, and 2 years behind on art shows. I told myself to at least get caught up with my convention stuff by San Diego Comic Con, which since that’s around the corner I really need to otherwise I will just be super screwed. In the past San Diego Comic Con has been a source for my backlog, as I’m spending weeks and months going through all my photos and notes from SDCC trying to come up with as many stories as possible, which honestly considering the scale of San Diego Comic Con is completely necssary, not just for SEO purposes but also for readability. Seriously if I don’t get it done I’ll be super fucked because my backlog will easily double if not triple in size after San Diego Comic Con.

As for my site redesign, I’m aiming for end of summer, so Septemberish? For that I need to figure out what exactly my will look like as well as see if developer friend of mine is available to help with some of the more advanced stuff.

So wish me luck as I try to haul ass and enjoy the first bit of cosplayers from LA Comic Con 2022.

Here’s a Dai Li from Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra.

Here’s Cartman from the “Chickenlover” episode of South Park when he gets deputized by Officer Barbrady to help him catch the Chickenlover, complete with the megaphone, nightstick and big wheel. I really love this guy’s dedication to his cosplay because he basically spent the entire con just cruising around on his big wheel.

Patrick Bateman from American Psycho swinging the axe like in the movie still.

And here she is recreating the movie poster.

Here’s Vega (also known as Balrog in Japan) from Street Fighter II.

An elderly Loki variant holding Alligator Loki.

Here’s Colorado Crazy Cat Lady with her bathrobe covered in cats.

A She-Hulk wearing the modernized bodysuit from the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law miniseries.

A Nightcrawler wearing the costume and wielding the sword he had towards the end of the Excalibur series.

A lady version of Pennywise the Clown from the 2017 version of It.

Asuka Soryu and Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion wearing what look like store-bought bodysuits.

Beauty and the Beast‘s Belle wearing the Winter dress from when she first met the Beast.

Willie T. Soke, the titular character from 2003’s Bad Santa, which was played by Billy Bob Thornton.

Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy.

Namora as she looked in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Here’s Mr. Floats, a professional cosplayer who dresses up as the 2017 version of It.

The T-00 AKA Mr. X from Resident Evil 2.

Michonne from Walking Dead.

Lady Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil: Village.

I’m not sure what this girl is supposed to be. I’m guessing she’s some sort of wood nymph or forest spirit.

Dark Magician Girl from Yu-Gi-Oh.

An Officer Jenny from Pokemon.

Here’s a professional cosplayer as Black Widow. I’m really annoyed with myself for forgetting her name, but that’s what I get for getting around to do this so late.

Another professional cosplayer whose name I also forget wearing the white Black Widow outfit Scarlett Johansson wore in the Black Widow movie.

An Afro Samurai.

A Deadpool that’s kind of all over the place. I mean the dude is wearing a Golden Girls shirt, but it’s the wrong one.

Jesse Pinkman and Walter White from Breaking Bad dressed up to make meth.

Michael Myers of Halloween with Ghostface of Scream.

Joanie Brosas as Rey from the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Terry Bogard of Fatal Fury/King of Fighters fame.

And here’s Terry doing his victory pose.

Baroness from GI Joe.

Geoffrey the Giraffe.

Scorpion and Sub Zero as they looked in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie.

Here’s Maria Two-Straps, a sex and relationship coach dressed as a giant vagina.

Here’s a mix of Zelda characters. You got Link, Skull Kid as he looked in Majora’s Mask, and Midna from Twilight Princess.

Kakashi Hatake from Naruto.

Nightwolf from Mortal Kombat 3, or as he’s known now due to retconning and rebooting, Grey Cloud.

Here’s a first for me, Earthworm Jim.

A Ninja Spawn. Ninja Spawn was originally a toy back when McFarlane Toys made toys based on Spawn before focusing their attention on licensed properties and sports figures. If I remember correctly Ninja Spawn was originally featured in the comics in issue 160 and more recently made another appearance in issue 297 with other alternate versions of Spawn.

Master Chief from Halo.

Geodude and Brock from Pokemon.

Here’s a Mesoamerican twist on Boba Fett.

Wonder Woman as she looks in the DCEU.

A more traditional version of Boba Fett.

A Christmas-themed Poison Ivy which seemed very appropriate since LA Comic Con was being held in December.

Link as he looked in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

A Poison Ivy and Bane from the ’90s Batman: The Animated Series.

Cammy White from Street Fighter II.

A Blade. While I do like how he’s wearing a tactical vest to add to the detail, however I am a bit disappointed he didn’t add more weapons or accessories to complete the look.

Here’s a collection of Spider-Man villains. At first I was going to call them Sinister Six until I realized there were 7 of them. It looks like you have Mister Negative, the Lizard, Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus from the Toby Maguire spiderverse. Vulture from the MCU, a gender-swapped Kraven, and Mysterio as he looked in the comics.

And I’ll close this post out with probably the best cosplay of the con, a centaur woman.
