Iron Studios is another collectible statue company that I’ve noticed has been popping up at a lot of the recent conventions I’ve been to. Considering that they’ve been around since 2012 I honestly won’t be surprised if they’ve been at a lot of conventions I’ve attended—I just never notice because I wasn’t observant enough to pay attention to the signage.

From what I understand Iron Studios is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and they have some sort of distribution deal with Sideshow Collectibles which is why if they make appearances at past conventions I’ve never noticed them before, I just assumed they were Sideshow Collectibles’ stuff and from a separate company.

Anyway, at San Diego Comic Con, Iron Studios had their own space which was pretty far Sideshow Collectibles’ main booth. When I was originally going through my photos I almost lumped these in with Sideshow Collectibles’ stuff. It wasn’t until I took a closer look at the placards that I noticed they were from a different company which merited getting its own post.

Life-sized Statues

One thing that set Iron Studios apart from the other statue companies is that they had some full-sized statues on display.

Here’s Thanos circa Avengers: Endgame complete with his battle armor, Infinity Gauntlet with Infinity Stones and that double sword thing.

Gandalf in his Gandalf the Grey form from the Fellowship of the Ring.

Voldemort posed as if he’s performing the Avada Kedavra curse like when he was dueling Harry in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

A Stan Lee statue. All it’s missing is the cold black eyes and you’d think this was a giant Funko.

Smaller Statues

Back to the Future II Marty McFly and Doc Brown with the DeLorean in hovermode.

The cast of the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie.

Steppenwolf, Meera, and Aquaman from the Snyderverse.

Skeletor from the He-Man/Masters of the Universe on a throne.

He-Man.

A recreation of Elliot and E.T. doing the iconic flying bicycle scene from E.T.

The original Power Rangers in their Command Center with Zordon in the background. I really like this piece for having not just the original 5 Rangers, but also both the Green and White Rangers. I also like how they included the weapons-not just the individual weapons but also the wave blasters. My only gripe with this piece though is they didn’t do a good job of having the Pink Ranger holding her bow better. I came across a Instagram video from Charlie Kersh who played Yellow ranger, Trini Kwan’s daughter in the recent Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always TV movie. In it Kersh was unboxing a yellow ranger figure which came with a stand which resembled a piece of the command center. So I guess these things are all sold individually with the stands all coming together to form the command center. If this is the case I’m curious if Zordon and his tube thing come with 1 of the rangers or if he’s sold separately.

The Age of Apocalypse version of Apocalypse and Rogue.

Speaking of Age of Apocalypse they also have AoA versions of Bishop…

Colossus…

Magento…

Storm…

And Wolverine or as he’s known in the AoA universe, Weapon X.

2 Spider-Man statues recreating the pointing Spider-Man pointing meme from which came from an episode of the ’60s Spider-Man cartoon.

Ultron from What If with the Infinity Stones.

Green Goblin from the Toby Maguire Spider-Man movie.

And here’s something I never expected to see. It’s a Jaws statue, recreating the scene where the shark eats the boat.

And that’s it for Iron Studios. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to check back for more.
