So here’s part 2 of the cosplayers from New York Comic Con, and honestly I’m really not sure what’s the best way to start this post.

I guess I could say that looking back I don’t think there were that many terrible costumes from this convention. I mean, I can’t remember seeing anything that looked too bad. Sure a lot of stuff looked store bought but honestly I didn’t see any home made stuff that was falling apart or was obviously made from cardboard. Given the sheer amount of people who were attending the con you would think statistically there should be a few bad ones but honestly I can’t remember seeing a bad costume.

I did mean to get this up sooner. I was shooting for having all my New York Comic Con stuff before LA Comic Con but like I said after I got into that fender bender with my neighbor and between dealing with insurance it did make me rethink a few aspects of my life.

At this point I should probably just shut up because I’m really changing the tone of this whole thing. So without further adieu, here’s the pics.

Here’s a Princess Mononoke. I’m not sure if that’s her everyday purse but it goes really well with her costume.

Here’s another good Spawn outfit. He really nailed the detail on Spawn’s boot.

Richard Fisk AKA the Kingpin. For some reason he kind of reminds me of Michael Clarke Duncan’s version of the Kingpin from the 2003 Daredevil movie with Ben Affleck.

This guy’s Jack Sparrow is pretty good. Not quite as great as Hollywood Jack Sparrow but it’s close.

Here’s a Voltron. It looks like he added some subtle battle damage which is a really good detail.

Carnage from Spiderman. The mask I think he got down but I think he probably should tone back on the black a little.

A Little Sister from Bioshock. The yellow contact lens really add to her costume.

A female Predator. She doesn’t have as many accessories as the previous guy but I do like how she at least had the wrist blades.

A really good Pickle Rick from Rick and Morty by a cosplayer named its.deb.bruh. Its.Deb.Bruh did a really good job as Pickle Rick with the face and even getting Rick’s mannerisms down.

At first I was thinking this chick was Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V. But after looking at her now I realize she’s Meryl Silverburgh from Metal Gear Solid 1. Although her hair is a bit long for Meryl .

Another Pickle Rick this one with the MacGyver laser blaster and an even crazier face.

Xena Warrior Princess. The Sword looks pretty good but I think the proportions are a little off.

Another Master Roshi.

This girl’s Pennywise is really good. The balloons really added to her costume. Although what do you think is creepier? Her Pennywise? Or the guy checking her out in the background?

Ghostrider.

Deadpool/Katy Perry Superbowl shark mashup.

Here’s a good Team Rocket. James with the Rose really adds to it.

Here’s a Suicide Squad Harley Quinn and armored Supergirl. They were stuck in front of that Midtown Comics backdrop for awhile so either they work for Midtown Comics or they were just unfortunately stuck over there.

This dude dressed as Ruby Rhod from the Fifth Element was giving out free hugs. The cane was a good touch and he did a pretty good job matching the haircut although I think his hair is more curlier than Chris Tucker’s was in the movie.

Another Wonder Woman.

These guys’ Cobra-themed cosplay was getting a lot of attention. When I posted the picture on Instagram Destro found it and gave me the info of who they are. Destro is @the_real_dstro, Cobra Commander is @zanygeeks, and the Viper is @rdmncosplay

A family of Ninja Turtles.

This girl’s Cruella de Vil is pretty spot on.

I found a Waldo.

Here’s a Carol Danvers Captain Marvel.

Here’s a really good Batman circa the DC Shared Cinematic Universe. The body armor looked pretty real.

A Cable who very accurately matches the way Rob Liefeld would draw him.

A very sad-looking Tina Belcher. Even though she more than likely lives on the East Coast I feel I should have asked for her number.

Wolverine, Mystique, Female Cyclops and the Beast from X-Men. I know it’s probably a store bought costume but the nipples on the Beast costume are really good detail.

One-armed Georgie from the 2017 version of It with a oversized balloon.

An Awesome-O 4000 from South Park.

Some guys dressed in No Ma’am shirts from Married with Children. The guy wearing the mask on the right hand side reminds me of the episode when Al Bundy and his buddies decide to hold Jerry Springer hostage on national TV because he’s pro feminism.

Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite. This was a game that was on my radar and that I wanted to play but unfortunately I never found the time to do it.

A couple Pacman cosplayers. Simple but it puts a smile on my face.

Perfect Cell from Dragonball Z.

Venom. One of quite a few Spider-Man Symbiote costumes I saw.

A couple Mario Kart racers.

Here is the curvaceous Professor Shelly Oberon, Jack Black’s character from the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

A Peggy Carter from the unfortunately recently canceled Agent Carter.

Not content to just be Sailor Moon, this girl came as a Sailor Moon VHS. Given how big this thing is it must have been a bitch to move around the convention in this outfit.

Found another Waldo.

Ryu and Sakura from Street Fighter.

I later met up with that guy dressed as Carnage with a Spider-Man. I know the colors on the guy’s Spider-Man outfit was wrong but they were posing out in the lobby so I just had to get pictures of that.

Two Mad Hatters and a Red Queen from the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland movies. I wonder if this was a poker hand would it be considered a winning hand?

A Spartan from Halo. Honestly I’m not that familiar with Halo since I never owned an Xbox but after looking at the Halo wiki it’s pretty safe to say that this looks like the EVA-class (Extra-Vehicular Activity) Spartan Armor.

I’m not 100% sure what this girl is supposed to be. I’m want to say she’s Cersei Lannister and she probably is but for some reason I kind of have my doubts she is Cersei because I honestly can’t remember when Cersei wore this dress. I know Cersei wore something similar but I don’t think she wore this exact dress.

A Catwoman and Ventriloquist complete with a Scarface puppet from Batman’s Rogue gallery.

Two versions of the Comedian from Watchmen.

A Spiderman-themed group cosplay with chained up Carnage. The costumes are pretty good and you have to give respect to a dude who’s willing to go to a convention wearing stilts.

Mortal Kombat-themed group. You have Scorpion, Sub Zero, Sindel, and Raiden.

Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V. The costume is pretty close to the game version although the tears aren’t quite accurate. Sorry for the dude giving her a creepy look in the background.

Here’s a really good She Hulk. Even without the bodysuit overemphasizing her muscles she still looks pretty buff.

Yondu Udonta as Mary Poppins.

To keep you on the page for a few more seconds here’s the part in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when Michael Rooker screams out “I’m Mary Poppins y’all.”

The Night King from Game of Thrones.

Scorpion and Sub Zero performing a a friendship.

Heidi and Bird from the season 2 finale of Rick and Morty.

Genji from Overwatch. The LED lights in her suit and her sword really add to her outfit.

I think this chick is a gumball machine. I’m not 100% sure.

Final pic is the Tattoine Cantina band from the cantina scene from Star Wars: A New Hope.

This is it with my pictures from New York Comic Con. Like I said in my previous post it I had a really good time and it was a really good learning experience. I’m really hoping I can go again soon.
