Going into San Diego Comic Con, I remember being excited to see what Elite Creature Collectibles brought out with them considering what people were posting on social media on Preview Night. When I was actually able to see what they brought out I was a bit disappointed considering the spread they had with them was smaller than what they had out in 2019. However what they lacked in quantity they did however make up in quality.
I’ll start off this post with what people kept posting up on Instagram and it is this very realistic bust of Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Just look at how realistic this thing looks. I mean if you didn’t see the previous picture you’d probably think it was Tom Hiddleston himself. Or at least a really good cosplayer.
Here’s a 1/12 scale female t-rex that you could buy for the low low price of 1500 bucks. I’m kind of curious if why they specifically said it’s a female t-rex. Like if they made a male t-rex would it have a penis? I’m sure it’s mostly because this is based on the t-rex from Jurassic Park which in the movie are explicitly said to be female but is it really necessary to point this out in a scale model?
ECC’s interpretations of Horus and Anubis from the Egyptian pantheon of gods.
Here’s ECC’s take on the little grey man. They gave him a Dad-bod which somehow makes it look more terrifying.
I’m not sure what this guy is from. I looked on ECC’s website and they don’t have it listed. The closest thing they have is the reaper from Blade II which they actually make a few different variations of, but I don’t think this is it because the mouth and maw is all wrong. Knowing my luck they probably had it listed on their website but took it down for whatever reason. My fault for being so late getting to this.
Continuing on with the Marvel theme with yet another very realistic bust. This one of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Strange.
As well as the Tom Holland Spider-Man which I remember seeing at Wondercon.
And I’ll close this out with a bust of what ECC is calling The Unkillable. I’m a bit glad they put an identifier on this one otherwise I would have called it “random zombie” or something along those lines. This is another item I’m surprised has very little presence online. There’s no listing for it on ECC’s website, googling doesn’t turn up any information on it and google image search only turns up 1 image of it—although hopefully I did my SEO right with this post so my picture is now the second one of it on the internet.
Like I said earlier, there wasn’t that put out there but at least Elite Creature Collectibles made up for it with quality.
Thanks for checking this out and don’t forget to come back for more.
