So here I am with part 2 of my Spring 2018 So Cal Corgi Beach Day coverage. After part 1 I was down to 131 images and while it’s still tempting to just throw them up here without any context like some amateur I still refuse to do that so please bear with me while I try to continue telling a story here.
If you’re one of those people who are just here for the corgis then just feel free to ignore all my text and just start scrolling down. It’s not like I’ll be able to stop you and honestly if you’re on this page then I already got your click which is all I can really get from you.
Looking back at my photos I remember after Corgi Beach Day my dad asked me if I was still interested in getting a pembroke welsh corgi of my own. I told him “Yes I still want one” and then he asked “What’s stopping me?” Part of it is finding a responsible breeder who is trustworthy enough but I think subconsciously I keep sabotaging myself.
My family has been talking about getting a dog for years, even before I moved back home. Part of the reason we were thinking about getting a dog is because having a dog would give my mom something to do and part of it is because I just really want to have a dog again. We had dogs when I was younger but at the time we lived in a house with a backyard and the dogs we had back then weren’t trained. We just let them run around outside. Now my family and I live in a townhouse with no backyard so training a dog to live inside is something that we are completely unfamiliar with.
Like I said I think I’m subconsciously sabotaging myself is because given the current status of my life I don’t think I’m ready to care for a dog, but honestly I know people who are way more irresponsible than me and they have dogs and in some cases they have kids so I really need to just cowboy up and get myself a dog.
Until I can get a dog of my own I guess I’ll just have to settle for creeping on other corgi owners like I did below.
The organizers had some stuff set up for the corgis to pose on.
This VW Bus made sense because they have a VW bus as part of their official artwork.
This bulldozer however seemed a bit random.
Looking back at my photos I feel this guy was probably the fluffiest corgi there.
This guy was a close second.
And this guy was while not winning the award for most fluffiest did get some bonus points for some tongue action.
Since this was Corgi Beach Day some of the Corgis made sure they were properly dressed.
I like this 1’s hat.
This 1 had a neat dinosaur costume on.
There’s something about this 1 I really like. Something about her posture as she sat that just gave off this charisma.
This one’s body language makes it seem sad. I mean just look how it hangs its head.
This 1 really liked rolling in the sand.
While his friend here liked getting his floof scratched by their owner.
When I eventually get my corgi I need to make sure to stock up on bandanas like these guys.
I think I’ll also need some doggles like this one here.
I just realized out of all the corgis I saw this was 1 of the few 1s I encountered with a tail.
Since we stopped to eat before going to the beach I unfortunately missed out on most of the festivities. Luckily for me they were saving the bubble machine last so I was able to watch the dogs have fun with bubbles. This guy was having so much fun with them.
This guy was more interested in getting snacks than he was with the bubbles.
Here’s are some more black-headed tri-color corgis I saw.
Look how cute this little one is.
Here’s a red-heaeded tri-color that was enjoying the shade.
Here’s a sable corgi.
Two of my favorite’s reds.
I’m going to close this out with pictures of this curious guy.
Here’s the end of my So Cal Corgi Beach Day stuff. Looking through it I don’t know how I’ll be able to do it again. Like I said earlier I would prefer not to be one of those guys who just throws pictures up. I’m a story teller and I need to tell stories. But honestly we’ll see what the future has in store for me.
Thanks for checking this out.
