With so many people on site that meant there were a lot of good cosplays and costumes on site so without further adieu here are my favorite pics from Long Beach Comic Con 2017.<\/p>\n
The first guy who caught my eye was this Batman\/Borg mashup.<\/p>\n This chick isn’t a cosplayer at least not here she was. She instead was there working for Medieval Times passing out free stuff. I thought it was a bit funny that my parents were convinced that she was English because she was speaking with an English accent. I really don’t’ know why it’s so hard for them to understand that she could just be faking it.<\/p>\n The Southland Ghostbusters are always great to see. 5 year old me would so be begging to join them.<\/p>\n I mean if ALF could join them then I’m sure 5 year old me was more than qualified to join them.<\/p>\n Here’s a Deadpool. According to a video I saw on Long Beach Comic Con cosplayers that cardboard thing he’s carrying isn’t just a name tag, it’s also a lifebar because this is fighting game Deadpool.<\/p>\n Here’s an R2D2 from the R2D2 Builder’s club.<\/p>\n This one reminds me more of the robots from Black Hole<\/em> than it does an astromech droid.<\/p>\n Scarlet Witch wearing I think her first costume? I know it’s one of her more common costumes. The little sequins\/bedazzlements and the patterned cape are subtle yet really good touches with her costume.<\/p>\n Ali Williams AKA OnlyAlicat as a school-girl version of the Disney’s the Little Mermaid’s Ariel. She was one of the professional cosplayers they had this year.<\/p>\n Here’s Alkali Layke as a Lady Sith.<\/p>\n Negan from Walking Dead<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s a pretty good She Hulk. Her prop bar bell with all the fake weights really added to it. I really like her dedication too painting her arms and hands greens.<\/p>\n Here’s Jessica AKA Maid of Might another procosplayer special guest.<\/p>\n Here’s a ninja pic I snapped of WWE Hall of Famer and father of the Usos, Rikishi Phatu.<\/p>\n I feel bad I forgot this chick’s name. I remember she was there as an artist selling some pieces. I just really liked her Pidge from Voltron: Legendary Defender<\/em>.<\/p>\n Matt Murdock from Netflix’s Daredevil<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s Chihiro & Chieko, two twin little girls who I’ve been seeing a lot at Southern California conventions dressed as the Twins from Ms. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children<\/em>. If you ever meet these girls in person you can see they’re really into their costumes.<\/p>\n Keith from Voltron: Legendary Defender<\/em>. I thought the hair with the bangs in front of the face was a good touch.<\/p>\n An Iron Man-built Iron Spider costume circa the Civil War\/Superhuman Registration Act storyline. The legs could use a little work but the bodysuit is pretty spot on.<\/p>\n Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace<\/em> AKA the one with Jar Jar Binks and the annoying little kid.<\/p>\n Not sure who this chick was. I just know she was a vendor with a company selling mystery boxes.<\/p>\n A Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Bride from Kill Bill<\/em>. Although I don’t think the movie costume said Kill Bill on it which suggests to me this was a store-bought. The facial-scar makeup was a good touch though.<\/p>\n Rebecca from Tank Girl.<\/p>\n Winnifred Sanderson and Billy Butcherson from Disney’s Hocus Pocus<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s Acelerationdesigns as Kiki from Hayao Miyazaki’s Kiki’sDelivery Service<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s a twist on Suicide Squad’s<\/em> Harley Quinn. Instead of the Daddy’s Little Monster ensemble we have her in the prison jumpsuit.<\/p>\n Arnold and Helga from Hey Arnold<\/em>. The scowl from Helga was a good touch.<\/p>\n Tom Hardy’s Bane from Dark Knight Rises<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s a Dr. Who. I should probably start watching this series so I can learn which Dr. is which.<\/p>\n Pro cosplayer Amber Brite as what I think is a Nautolan from Star Wars<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s Wonder Whitney AKA Zabracus as Maijin Buu from Dragonball Z<\/em>.<\/p>\n I want to say this is a Templar Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail<\/em>.<\/p>\n This guy’s Riddler wasn’t bad although I think the coat is the wrong shade of green but that’s just my personal opinion.<\/p>\n Harley Quinn SLC as Harley Quinn.<\/p>\n Here’s another professional cosplay Nicole Marie Jean as Morrigan from Dragonage<\/em>.<\/p>\n I think this chick is supposed to be Ariel from Little Mermaid<\/em>. I’m not 100% sure, or if she’s supposed to be another mermaid. I know the color scheme is from a mermaid I just can’t think of which one.<\/p>\n D.Va\/Playboy Bunny mashup.<\/p>\n Here’s a costume I thought was really original, it’s Spare Fantasic Four Costume AKA The Bombastic Bagman AKA The Amazing Bag-Man. For those who don’t know this is from issue #258 of Amazing Spider-Man from when Spider-Man had the black symbiote costume. In this issue Spider-Man thinks there’s something weird about his black costume so he visits the Fantastic Four and has Mr. Fantastic analyze the costume and he finds out it’s an alien symbiote. The Fantastic Four help him remove the symbiote and rather than let Spidey run around naked they give him one of their old suits and a paper bag to wear. For added comedy and probably because he’s a bit of a dick the Human Torch also put a kick me sign on Spidey’s back which I don’t quite remember if this guy had or not.<\/p>\n Here’s a tiny Rey.<\/p>\n Pro cosplayer Molecular Agatha as Super Saiyin Goku.<\/p>\n Here’s a really good Wolverine. I know it’s pretty recent but I can’t think of when Wolverine wore this getup in the comics.<\/p>\n Stephanie Sandmeier as what she calls Burlesque Black Cat.<\/p>\n Here’s Angi Viper as Supergirl. Unfortunately I can’t remember who the Batgirl is.<\/p>\n A Ruby Rose from RWBY.<\/p>\n Here’s a costume that’s pretty meta, it’s The Painted Lady from the episode of the same name from Avatar: The Last Air Bender<\/em>. In this episode Katara wanting to help a village being poisoned by a Fire Nation factory disguises herself as The Painted Lady, a figure from an old wives tale so that she can move through the village healing the sick without revealing Team Avatar’s presence.<\/p>\n This is cool. It’s Q in the judge outfit he wore in the very first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em>.<\/p>\n A tiny Mega Man.<\/p>\n Here is who I Mycaptainjack as Joker Sparrow. I thought it was pretty funny that when people were asking for pictures he made sure people weren’t using “Canon cameras.”<\/p>\n Here’s something that is fucking creepy. It’s somebody dressed up as Regan MacNeil, Linda Blair’s character from The Exorcist<\/em>.<\/p>\n Not to be outdone by Regan MacNeil cosplayer here is somebody dressed as Georgie and Pennywise the Clown from the 1990 It<\/em> miniseries.<\/p>\n Judging by the fact this guy is wearing a Black Spiderman costume and he’s perched up on a trashcan I’m pretty sure this is the same guy from Wondercon.<\/p>\n Leeloo from Fifth Element<\/em> complete with a Multipass.<\/p>\n This is a really good Princess Leia circa Episode IV: A New Hope<\/em>.<\/p>\n Here’s a really tall Ellen Ripley from Alien<\/em>s from the part where Ripley loads up with weapons to find Newt.<\/p>\n Here’s another Ripley. This one from Alien<\/em> complete with a flamethrower.<\/p>\n Tina and Louise Belcher.<\/p>\n Here’s another procosplayer. This one is Lisa Pinelli as the Blackcat.<\/p>\n Dipper and Mable from Gravity Falls<\/em>.<\/p>\n This is a pretty good Stan Lee costume.<\/p>\n Ryu from Street Fighter<\/em> with a Hadoken.<\/p>\n Normally I don’t ask people to pose but since he had a Hadoken I just couldn’t resist asking him to pose this way.<\/p>\n A Captain America showgirl.<\/p>\n Here’s _queenbean_ as Bride Princess Peach.<\/p>\n Mint Berry Crunch, Human Kite, The Coon and Mysterion of the Coon and Friends from South Park<\/em>.<\/p>\n Once again I couldn’t resist asking Mint Berry Crunch to do a Mint-Berry Crunch pose.
